parkrun — free weekly community 5k and junior events

parkrun organises free weekly timed 5k runs and free junior parkrun events for children at parks across the UK; events are volunteer‑led and open to runners, walkers and volunteers of all abilities. Participants register once online for a free barcode, bring that barcode on event day and take part at no charge. parkrun encourages regular community exercise and social connection and lists local event locations and times on its website.
