OLIO — free local sharing of surplus food and household items

OLIO is a free app and platform that lets neighbours and local businesses share surplus food and household items at no cost to the recipient. Anyone in the UK with a smartphone can create an account, list items they want to give away, or request items nearby; OLIO also connects volunteers and community fridges. The core sharing service is free to use, though donations or purchases are optional where offered by some providers.
