Borrow e‑books and audiobooks free via Libby with your library card

Libby (by OverDrive) enables UK public library members to borrow e‑books, audiobooks and magazines for free using their library card; titles can be streamed or downloaded to phones, tablets and e‑readers for the loan period. To qualify you need a participating UK public library membership — sign up for a library card at your local authority if you don’t already have one, then add the card in the Libby app or at https://www.libbyapp.com to start borrowing.
